Jeffrey S. Mahlmann, Director of Quality Innovation at Lockheed Martin Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Aviation.
Mr. Mahlmann is the recipient of a 2016 Nova Award from Lockheed Martin, and was appointed to his current role at the same time. He was recognized for many years in mechanical engineering, particularly as a manager of the F-35 Interchangeable Replaceable Program and as a designer on the F-22 Engine Inlet Bypass System, which received a 1996 Weight Reduction Award. Mr. Mahlmann entered the field out of a love for working on fighter planes, and intends on staying in his role until retirement.
An alumnus of the Southern Methodist University, Mr. Mahlmann earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering there in 1991, and has been a long-serving member of SAE International. He graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1984. In 2016, he joined the engineering board at Tarelton State University, in Stephendalle, Texas. Mr. Mahlmann is currently responsible for the skill and innovation process for quality items across all programs of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
