Maxim Fischer, Electronics Engineer at Fischer Consulting Ltd., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Process Control Engineering.

Fascinated by electronics and how things work, Mr. Fischer has applied his skills to everything from avionics to public utilities. He was a senior automation engineer of AGI Automation Components and a commissioning lead of Spectra Energy Corp., concurrent with his role as president of his own consultation firm. Mr. Fischer launched the firm in 2011, and has also served as director of Canada Trade Research Inc. since 1992.

A native of Romania, Mr. Fischer was trained at the Polytechnic Institute at Bucharest, and worked in the city as a production engineer of Electromagnetica. He traveled to Israel as a telecommunications engineer, and worked on avionics with Tundra Technical Industries. From 1978 to 1982, Mr. Fischer was chief engineer of the firm, and in 1983 he accepted the role of design engineer with Northwestern Utilities, becoming senior engineer specialist from 1990 to 1999. He was a project leader and group leader with Atco Pipelines before launching his consultation firm. Mr. Fischer is also a member of Trunked Wireless Technologies.

As a leader in his field, Mr. Fischer has contributed numerous articles to professional journals. He is a member of the International Society of Automation, among other engineering groups. Back in Romania, he was a secretary, vice president, and president of Radio Romania. Mr. Fischer is a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has appeared in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the World.
