Sang Shin Park, PhD, Lead Research Engineer at Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering.

A celebrated figure in the field of engineering, Dr. Park has amassed more than 10 years of professional excellence in his areas of expertise. He commenced his career as a research assistant at Green Manufacturing System Technology with KITECH in 2006, working in that position until 2010. He was subsequently hired as a lead research engineer in the advanced power system development team with Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, a position he has held since 2015. Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has been propelling forward in innovation since its founding in 1962, and it is now regarded as a global force in both power and water services.

To prepare for his successful career, Dr. Park earned a master’s degree in 2008 and a doctorate in mechanical engineering in 2011 from Yonsei University. Thereafter, he held the role of leader of the engineering student orientation at Yonsei University from 2013 to 2014. Dr. Park prides himself on specializing in renewable energy engineering and has been making strides to contribute to the expanding field of sustainable energy production.

Alongside his professional endeavors, Dr. Park has contributed numerous articles to professional journals and has served as a reviewer. He has coauthored such works as “Numerical Analysis on Characteristics of Fluid in a Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) System by Guide Vane Formations” in 2018, “Investigation on co-gasification of coal and biomass in Shell gasifier by using a validated gasification model” in 2017, and “Thermal decomposition characteristics of expired single base propellant using a lab-scale tube furnace and a thermo-gravimetric analysis reactor” in 2016. In addition, he has provided articles to several esteemed publications and organizations, including the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Journal of Thermal Analysis of Calorimetry, Fuel, and the Korea Society of Waste Management.

Happily married with one child, Dr. Park is a longstanding member of KOSCO and enjoys watching movies and constructing Gundam models in his spare time.
