Aymeric P. Rousseau, Manager at Argonne National Laboratory, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in vehicle modeling and engineering.

With more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of engineering, Mr. Rousseau has held the position of manager of the vehicle modeling and control section of Argonne National Laboratory since 1999. In this position, he is responsible for the implementation of the Powertrain Systems Analysis Toolkit (PSAT) and has overseen the development of a Plug & Play software architecture entitled Autonomie, constructed in collaboration with General Motors. In addition, he serves on the scientific advisory board of VEDECOM, a role he has held since 2017. Prior to these appointments, Mr. Rousseau worked as a researcher for PSA Peugeot Citroen from 1997 to 1999.

A contributor of articles to professional journals, Mr. Rousseau sought a formal education, earning a Master of Science in multidisciplinary engineering at the Industrial System Engineering School in La Rochelle, France, in 1997. He subsequently completed a postgraduate degree in computing research engineering at the University of La Rochelle in 1998. Since 2017, he has been pursuing a Master of Business Administration in the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, a degree he is expected to complete within the next two years.

In recognition of his exceptional achievements, Mr. Rousseau has been honored with several accolades throughout his career. Honored with the Argonne Distinguished Performance Award in 2011, he was also presented with the Argonne Pacesetter Award in 2007 and 2011. In addition, the U.S. Department of Energy’s vehicle technologies program recognized him with a Research and Development Award in 2010, and he was given a Federal Laboratory Consortium Award in 2007. Mr. Rousseau accepted his first accolade in 2004, the Research and Development 100 Award for PSAT.

Mr. Rousseau attributes his success to his ability to listen to people’s problems, overcome remarkable challenges, communicate effectively, and network with other corporations. Delving into his profession due to his passion for aiding others and improving the environment, he looks toward the future, aspiring to extend his experience in the field by working across companies and providing guidance. In his spare time, Mr. Rousseau enjoys traveling and scuba diving.
