Laurence Boorstein, Project Manager and Engineer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in systems engineering.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Boorstein most recently served as an engineer and project manager with Green Powered Technology. Prior to obtaining this role, he was a project manager and principal economist with AECOM from 1994 to 2016 and a senior economist with Soros Associates from 1988 to 1994. Earlier in his career, he was with Frederic R. Harris, Inc., Planning Research Corporation, beginning as a systems analyst in 1974, then as a principal system engineer from 1977 to 1979, a senior system planner from 1979 to 1983, and as a senior economist from 1983 to 1986.
Mr. Boorstein began his career as a student at Columbia University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1972 and a Master of Science in civil engineering in 1974. He continued his studies with the school throughout his career, completing a Civil Engineering post-master’s professional degree in 1978 and earning a Master of Business Administration in finance in 1988. A member of the Society of Civil Engineers, Mr. Boorstein is a certified project manager by AECOM, and he received a service award from them for his work. Attributing his success to hard work and education, he intends to continue contributing to his field on a consulting and freelance basis in the future.
