Prior to these appointments, he was a principal engineer at Brown & Caldwell from 1984 to 1985 and Morrison Knudsen Company from 1979 to 1984, a chief electrical engineer at L.K. Comstock Engineering Company from 1978 to 1979, and a supervisor of power and control at the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit from 1976 to 1978. Previously, he served as a senior engineer at Kaiser Engineers from 1967 to 1973, a project engineer at Brown Boveri from 1965 to 1967, and chief of works at Vidrobras from 1962 to 1964. Likewise, he acted as a mechanical engineer at Matarazzo Industries from 1961 to 1962, a construction project manager at Caterpillar-Brazil from 1960 to 1961, and an electrical engineer at Moinho Santista from 1955 to 1960. He commenced his career as an assistant professor of high frequency communications at the Harbin Polytechnic Institute from 1950 to 1953.
When Mr. Musihin was a child, he quenched his innate curiosity by performing electrical work and analyzing how things worked. To prepare for his illustrious career, he pursued coursework at the YMCA Institute in 1942 and North Manchurian University in 1945. He subsequently received a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Harbin Polytechnic Institute in 1948. He has since become a registered professional engineer in California, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington.
To remain aware of recent developments within the industry, Mr. Musihin has maintained affiliation as a lifetime and senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In addition, he remains a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the California Society of Professional Engineers. As a testament to his professional success, he has been highlighted in the 35th edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Business and multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in the World.
Married to Natalia Krilova since 1964, Mr. Musihin is the proud father of one son, Nicholas. A native of Harbin, China, he immigrated to the United States in 1967. He enjoys reading technical publications in his spare time.
