In 1986, he founded AMPSA Inc. in Pretoria and the company has thrived since its inception. Dr. Abrie has since established other locations of his company in Somerset West in South Africa, and in Vancouver, WA.
What makes Dr. Abrie’s career worthwhile to him is not the acknowledgement he has received but the knowledge he has gained. The synthesis of amplifier and oscillator design affords him a greater understanding of this branch of engineering, allowing him to improve facets of AMPSA Inc. He holds membership with the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques, a scientific journal that seeks to unite those in the field of engineering via shared knowledge.
Recognized for his success, Dr. Abrie has been presented with The Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and Who’s Who in the World.
