John G. Elliott, Aerospace Design Engineer at The Boeing Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in aerospace engineering.
Having loved airplanes from a formative age, Mr. Elliott enjoyed the engineering aspects of drafting during high school and desired to delve into the precise science of engineering as a full-time career. Earning an Associate of Arts from Cerritos College in 1974, he subsequently received a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Long Beach, in 1978. Commencing his career as a design engineer with The Douglas Aircraft Company from 1978 to 1982, he then began working for The Boeing Company, which he would serve for the remainder of his career.
At the inception of his appointment with The Boeing Company, Mr. Elliott acted as the longtime lead engineer of the Electrical Installations Group from 1983 to 2014. At this time, he was promoted to service engineer in the Electrical Systems Installation Group and a member of customer support for the Southern California Commercial Aviation Services Division from 2014 until his retirement from the industry in 2016.
Prior to serving the aerospace industry, Mr. Elliott enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1969 to 1973. In an effort to remain abreast of recent developments within the field, he has maintained affiliation with numerous organizations, including the Southern California Professional Engineering Association and the Boeing Company Management Club. Likewise, he also associated with the Boeing Company Tennis Club and the Boeing Company Surf Club. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the aerospace engineering industry, he was selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
