Gene K. Baxter, Ph.D., P.E., Engineering Company Executive and Forensic Consulting Engineer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mechanical engineering.

A man of integrity who believes that determination and perseverance have been key factors in his success over the last four decades, Dr. Baxter is widely regarded in his industry for his experience and expertise. His noteworthy endeavors in his career have included directing mechanical projects, creating visual simulation and training systems, and developing such technologies as nuclear power controls, shipboard digital control systems, measurement analysis controls, and hardware systems. He has worked across a number of industries including oil and gasoline, avionics, automobile and more. Due to his stellar work in engineering, Dr. Baxter was afforded the opportunity to contribute as a forensic consulting engineer, where he works with attorneys and insurance companies on detailed investigations and analyses. In recognition of his professional excellence in his career, Dr. Baxter earned an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, a Design Award from Machinery Magazine and a Raymond J. Briggs Award from the Idaho State Board of Engineering Examiners. He has also been  selected for inclusion into multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West, and Who’s Who in the World.

Today, Dr. Baxter finds success at the helm of his own consulting firm, Baxter Engineering. He established the practice in 1993 after coming to prominence in roles including president of Exodyne Electric Motors, project manager for advanced apache simulation projects at McDonnell Douglas Helicopter, Co., manager of engineering for the downhole services division of Baker International Corporation, and engineering department head for Schlumberger Technology Corporation. He remains at the top of his field through his life memberships with the IEEE and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Previously, he affiliated with the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Heating, and Phi Kappa Phi. As he looks to the future, Dr. Baxter intends to continue working toward continued success in his field.
