Jeffrey Pintenich, Senior Expert Environmental Engineer and Technology Director at Brown and Caldwell, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in environmental engineering.
The field of engineering piqued Mr. Pintenich’s interest at an early age. He first earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering at Vanderbilt University in 1973, continuing his education at the University of Texas at Austin to receive a Master of Science in Environmental Health Engineering in 1976. He is a registered Professional Engineer in several states and territories and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer, having been elected as such due to eminence in the profession by the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. Mr. Pintenich also served as a Corps of Engineers officer for the U.S. Army Reserve from 1974 to 1982. He received the Cold War Certificate of Recognition for this service.
Since 1998, Mr. Pintenich has served as vice president of Brown and Caldwell. Prior to this position, he served as a project manager, division manager, vice president, senior vice president, and board member of AWARE/Eckenfelder Inc. from 1978 to 1998. Earlier in his career, he was a project engineer and manager for Engineering-Science, Inc. from 1974 to 1978. In addition to working at Brown and Caldwell, Mr. Pintenich has also been a pro bono lecturer at Vanderbilt University, co-authored 4 reference textbooks in his field, and contributed to numerous scientific papers.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pintenich has maintained affiliation with a variety of professional organizations. He has been involved with the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management and the Water Environment Federation. With an impressive professional history dating back more than 40 years, Mr. Pintenich has been honored on numerous occasions for his contributions to the field. In 2009, he was the recipient of the Excellence Award in Hazardous Waste Design by by the Water Environment Federation.
