Stephen Davis has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in water systems engineering.
With more than 45 years of experience in his field, Mr. Davis demonstrates an expertise in water utility systems, water metering, water law and water system auditing. He finds success today as a water planning administrator for Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., in Phoenix, AZ. He has held this role since 1986 after having already come to prominence within his field for over 15 years. Previously, he excelled in similar positions with John Carollo Engineers and the City of Tucson. In addition, Mr. Davis was a civil engineer and planner for Marum & Marum. Driven by a drive to continue learning, Mr. Davis is regarded within his industry for his professionalism and insights. He notes that he has become this way by networking with others within his industry, learning by doing and asking questions.
Mr. Davis entered his profession while waiting to be called into the U.S. military. He took a temporary job in the water business, which he came to love because of the challenge it posed and the direct positive impact that the work had on the public. After serving as a captain in the U.S. Air force for two years, he returned to his work in the water business where he has been excelling ever since. Mr. Davis remains at the top of his field through his affiliations with the American Society of Civil Engineers, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the International Platform Association, the Arizona Hydrological Society, the Arizona Water and Pollution Control Association, the American Water Resources Association, and the American Water-Work Association.
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Davis loves music. He plays bass guitar and sings with local choirs in his free time. The highlight of his career was performing at the half-time show at the first ever Super Bowl. As he looks ahead to the future, Mr. Davis plans to continue working in his field while making a national impact through his work with the American Water-Work Association.
