John McClure, Broadcast Engineer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in broadcast engineering.
Growing up, Mr. McClure observed his father, Horace Glenn Jr. work on projects that involved studios and other related events. Upon watching this work, Mr. McClure caught the bug for his profession and became a licensed second-class radiotelephone operator. He became a certified member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
Since 1990, Mr. McClure has worked in the department of media services for Richmond Public Schools. He has also provided his skills and experience with the Ray Sports Network for the WRLH-TV Station since 1988. Furthermore, Mr. McClure has been tapped as a recording engineer in audio communications. In his career, he has also worked for Richmond Subscription TV, WTVR-TV, WCVE-TV, WLEE and WRVA. In his spare time, Mr. McClure enjoys amateur radio, rebuilding old broadcast equipment and rebuilding cars and engines.
