Donald T. Bush, Senior Autonomous Vehicle Engineer for Aptiv, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in electrical and software engineering.
When he was a young child, Mr. Bush was always disassembling and re-assembling anything that he could get his hands on – especially if it involved electrical gadgets. This early fascination led to a lifelong passion for electrical and software engineering. For more than 20 years, he worked in the slot gaming industry, where he notably was part of the team that designed and manufactured an automated table-master multiplayer table game with a unique image feed of a dealer. This project led him in achieving U.S. Patent 8,272,958. Mr. Bush feels that he has been successful because he possesses a great hard work ethic and demonstrates an ability to be a team player.
To prepare for a career in engineering, Mr. Bush earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada in 1998. In his career, he has developed excellent problem-solving skills that have allowed him to be impactful in each role that he has held. Recently, Mr. Bush switched industries to the autonomous vehicle industry. Since 2018, he has found success in his role as a senior autonomous vehicle engineer for the systems department at Aptiv, a global technology company that develops safer, greener and more connected solutions enabling the future of mobility. As he looks ahead to the future, Mr. Bush intends to continue in this new phase of his career with the intent of advancing to roles including principle engineer then senior principle engineer. In addition to working hard, he plans to enjoy his hobbies and passion projects in his field in the years to come.
