With more than 35 years of professional experience, Mr. Cummings has been retired since 2009, having been the manager of infrastructure since 1997. Prior to obtaining this role, he was the manager of voice and data communications with the company from 1989 to 1997, lead data communications analyst from 1986 to 1989, and senior data communications analyst from 1983 to 1986. From 1981 to 1983, he was a software systems analyst, and from 1978 to 1981 he was an operations and planning analyst. Earlier in his career, he was a telecommunications analyst from 1975 to 1978 and a computer operations analyst from 1972 to 1973.
Mr. Cummings first pursued an education with the University of Toledo, where he obtained an Associate of Science in electronic engineering in 1976. He continued his studies with the school, earning a Bachelor of Science in business services in 1981. He later joined Bowling Green State University, completing postgraduate coursework from 1990 to 1996.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cummings has been recognized for his contributions, including having received the Special Achievement Award from Owen-Illinois, Inc. He attributes much of his success to his parents, including his father Who would repair televisions on the side. He would accompany his father to his shop and learned how to work on electronics from an early age. He also had a teacher who would allow him to participate in special projects, and he had a Sunday school teacher who taught him how to speak in public. In his free time, he enjoys repairing computers for the elderly in his church.
