Miles Lewitt, vice president of engineering at Intuit, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in management.
Mr. Lewitt has been the vice president of engineering at Intuit, Inc., since 2013. Prior to obtaining his current role, he garnered experience as the vice president of the technology group from 2001 to 2013 and vice president of tax engineering from 2003 to 2004. He was previously the general manager of Dealer Solutions from 1999 to 2001, vice president of research and development with Automatic Data Processing from 1991 to 1999, and vice president of engineering at Cadre Technologies, Inc., from 1989 to 1991. Earlier in his career, he held a number of positions with Intel, including engineering manager from 1978 to 1989, corporate strategic staff member from 1981 to 1982, an architect of iRMX line operations systems and x86 line microprocessors in 1978. Furthermore, he was a software engineer with Honeywell from 1973 to 1978.
Mr. Lewitt first pursued an education with the City College of New York, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in engineering in 1973. He continued his studies with Arizona State University, earning a Master of Science in 1976. He was inspired to pursue a career in this field from an early age, having been in a school which adopted computers earlier than most. He had a teacher who encouraged him to learn how to teach and he became an early expert in computer technology.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lewitt has been recognized for his contributions. He is the recipient of the City College of New York Career Achievement Award and Engineering Alumni Award, and was also given the Eliza Ford Prize from the school. The CEO of Intuit recognized him with an Excellence in Leadership Award, Honeywell gave him an Advanced Engineering Program Award, and Products Magazine bestowed him a Product of the Year Award.
