Abdel Zaghloul, PhD, Electrical Engineering Educator, Consultant, and Entrepreneur, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of engineering.
Dr. Zaghloul was always interested in engineering, as his father and uncle had made a career of it. He was exposed to the industry at an early age, which only furthered his interests. He attended Cairo University in Egypt, from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. He went on to earn a master’s in electrical engineering from the same university before relocating to the University of Nebraska. There, he earned a PhD in electrical and systems engineering. He later obtained a higher diploma in educational technology from Abertay University.
Dr. Zaghloul’s extensive career history is a true testament to his ability to succeed anywhere in his field. For many years, he worked as a professor at various universities across the globe. He additionally gained experience on the administrative side of the industry, working as a director for curriculum development at Telecom College, among other similar positions. Currently, Dr. Zaghloul demonstrates his expertise in several different roles. Since 1998, he has been the co-founder and vice president of ITR Techs Inc. Later, in 2001, he became the director and founder of the Ellipsometry Research Applications and Artificial Cognitive Systems Laboratory at the Georgia Institute of Technology. More recently, in 2012, he became the lead curriculum developer for the cybersecurity of industrial control systems and IT networks. He additionally participates in several different professional organizations, such as the Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Engineering Council of the United Kingdom. In recognition of his accomplishments, Dr. Zaghloul is featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, as well as the 8th edition of Who’s Who in American Education.
