Simon Ginzburg, Retired Electrical Engineer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership as a professional engineer.
With 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Ginzburg is currently retired, having worked as a lead engineer for the MITRE Corp. in Bedford, Massachusetts, from 1997 to 2009. Previously, he was a senior member of the technical staff at Racal-Datacom, Inc., in Boxborough, Massachusetts, for five years. From 1985 to 1992, Mr. Ginzburg acted as a principal engineer with the Digital Equipment Corp., and from 1980 to 1985 he held the post of a principal engineer with Wang Laboratories. He started his career with the Central Research Institute of Communications in Moscow, Russia, where he held various positions for more than a decade.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Ginzburg attended the Institute of Electronics, Radio-Engineering and Informatics in Moscow, Russia, where he received a Master of Science in 1961. He continued his academic pursuits at this institution, graduating with a PhD in 1969. In addition to his primary professional pursuits, Mr. Ginzburg has found success through his written works. He has authored multiple books, including “Lightwave Transmission Systems,” “Statistical Communication, Second Edition,” “Statistical Communication,” and “Waveguides with Discrete Correction.” He also edited “Waveguides for Communications” in 1980, and holds four American patents. As a further testament to his success and stature, Mr. Ginzburg has been selected for inclusion in the fifth edition of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.
