Lawrence Schmaltz, Senior Vice President at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering.
With more than four decades of professional experience to his credit, Mr. Schmaltz currently excels in executive roles with various companies, including Adamo Properties, E-Net Ventures, LLC, NOVA Engineering and Environmental and A2L Techs. Prior to these impressive appointments, he worked as an adjunct faculty member for the University of North Florida between 1989 and 1992, having previously contributed as the president of CE Systems from 1989 to 1995 and the vice president of Atcon from 1989 to 1991. At the start of his career, Mr. Schmaltz worked alongside regional management, project management and project engineering with Burdco Environmental, Canonie Environmental Services, Waste Environmental Technologies and the U.S. Department of Defense.
In the past, Mr. Schmaltz contributed as a consultant for Dynamics Consultant & Management and as the director of the Florida Animal Health Foundation. Of the many highlights throughout his career, he is proud of owning A2L Techs, which was nominated by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing companies in America.
Mr. Schmaltz earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in 1979. He subsequently conducted postgraduate coursework at the University of Phoenix and Wright State University. To remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Schmaltz retains a professional relationship with the American Society for Testing and Materials, the National Registry of Environmental Professionals, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
For his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Schmaltz received a Letter of Commendation from the Department of Defense for his work on the U.S. Air Force B-1 Bomber Program. Additionally, he was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. An exceptional Marquis listee, he was featured in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest and Who’s Who in the World.
