Bill Jarboe, Design Engineer at PRADCO Outdoor Brands, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in design.
Mr. Jarboe was hired from an independent model shop in Wichita, Kansas. He saw an ad in a paper, from PRADCO, for someone to help them automate new technologies in their business. Mr. Jarboe responded to the ad and received the job. From there, he continued to grow with the company while going to school at night. He had a background in aerodynamics and that experience helped him a great deal in designing his lure and tackle products. Mr. Jarboe joined PRADCO Fishing new product development in 1970, remaining to this day. He also joined PRADCO Outdoor Brands in 1970. He took on the role of design engineer and remains in that position to this day.
Mr. Jarboe attributes his success to not being afraid of failure and the willingness to reach out and take chances. He always learns from his mistakes. His father always told him, that he has to pay attention to the mistakes that others make and learn from them because he will not live long enough to make all of them and learn on his own. Mr. Jarboe took coursework at Westark Junior College. He has four patents owned by EBSCO Industries and has two patents pending. For 10 years, Mr. Jarboe was the president and coordinator with the Immaculate Conception Basketball Program. As a testament to his success, Mr. Jarboe was inducted as a member of the National Federation of Lure Collectors, National Efficient Lure Collectors Club, and as the president of the Fort Smith Bass Club.
