Jack Phillion, Consultant at MetaOps, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in automotive engineering.
Even as a child, Mr. Phillion displayed a proficiency for engineering, always enjoying fixing gadgets when they broke. A self-proclaimed tinkerer, his natural abilities continued to develop when he began working with circuit boards as a teenager. He took this passion with him to his academic pursuits, earning a BSME from Michigan Technological University in 1985, an engineering diploma from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1987, and a Master of Science in administration studies from Central Michigan University. This academic foundation, alongside his decades of experience, has aided in his current role at a consultant for MetaOps. Prior to this position, Mr. Phillion leveraged his skills and expertise with Cooper-Standard Automotive, MacLean-Fogg Company, The Woodbridge Group, TRW OSS and ZF TRW. From 1984 to 1991, Mr. Phillion served as a First Lieutenant with the U.S. Army Reserve.
In his endeavors, Mr. Phillion attributes his success to his great mentors. He also has a great ability to problem solve. He became a Certified Reliability Engineer in 1995 and furthered his professional development with Six Sigma Black Belt in 2000. He has excelled as an engineer with more than 34 years of automotive experience in various commodity areas, boasting a multi-disciplinary background which includes release engineering, product assurance, quality, supplier quality, supplier engineering, product safety and product design. His work has been recognized with numerous patent awards. Furthermore, during his time with the U.S. Army Reserve, Mr. Phillion has received numerous service awards. Throughout his career, he has maintained professional affiliation with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
