Robert Buford Marsh, Chemical Engineer and Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership.

In high school, Mr. Marsh found a passion for chemistry. His love for exploring the field through science experiments is what motivated him to pursue engineering as a career. In 1968, he graduated from the Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Shortly thereafter, he was certified as a registered professional engineer in the state of Massachusetts. His first professional role was as a design engineer for Chevron Research in Richmond, California. He remained there until 1973, going on to take on the role of lustrex supervisor at Monsanto. There, Mr. Marsh held numerous roles, such as environmental engineer, manufacturing supervisor, and plasticizer technology expert. In the following years, he relocated to Marsh Engineer Inc., where he has continued to preside as the president since 1992.

An active member of his professional community, Mr. Marsh is a member of the Shawsheen River Watershed Association, as well as the Andover Village Improvement Society. He has been widely recognized by his peers for his research in ammonia-Hydrogen Sulfide Equilibrium in the 10-50% range. Further, he considers the highlight of his career to be his experience in bringing two under-performing departments at Monsanto up to standard. In recognition of his efforts, Monsanto awarded him the Quality Award in 1987. He is consistently rewarded by his work in reducing pollution with the Pollution Prevention Projects, as he knows he is doing good work and improving the environment. As a testament to his success, Mr. Marsh is featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the World.
