After serving with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Navy Reserves from 1993 to 2005, as well as the U.S. Army National Guard from 1999 to 2001, Mr. Schuler spearheaded a career in engineering. Commencing his path with Hydro Hem Industrial Services, formerly known as Dow Industrial & Dowell-Schlumberger, between 1999 and 2004 he served as a research associate, project manager, field engineer, sales engineer, and branch manager. For the following four years, he was operations manager of AMKO Cryogenics before serving Praxair, Inc. as a senior engineer from 2008 to 2011. Specializing in data statistical analysis, Mr. Schuler joined the team at BASF Inc. in 2011 as a senior operations engineer, and since 2015, he has notably served as a quality and continuous improvement manager.
Finding great success in his career, Mr. Schuler was the 2018 BASF North American Operational Excellence Cultural Priority Winner and received seven recognition awards for Excellence in Operations from Praxair between 2004 and 2010. For his military service, he is the recipient of a Navy Achievement Medal, Expeditionary Medal, Battle of Excellence Medal, and National Defense Medal, as well as named Blue Jacket of the Year for Reserve Command from 1997 to 1999. Mr. Schuler attributes his success to a passion for his work, his determination, and goal setting. To remain aware of advancements in his industry, he maintains affiliation with the American Chemical Society, American Society for Quality, and American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In 2000, Mr. Schuler received a Bachelor of Engineering in chemical engineering from Youngtown State University. Obtaining a Certificate in Finance from the North Carolina State University in 2019, he is currently in pursuit of a Master of Business Administration in finance from the university.
