He received a Bachelor of Engineering from Andhra University in 1967 and went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1974. Upon his arrival to the United States, Dr. Chelluri devoted a notable 33 years to AT&T as a district manager and lead member of technical staff from 1982 until his retirement in 2015. He believes the trip would be an insightful and educational opportunity that he could use to impact supporters and other humanitarians for years to come. In addition, he plans to teach through more non-governmental organizations and contribute to helping those in need.
