In the course of fulfilling his responsibilities, he has also served in several high leadership positions, including as the chief architect of IT Remote Access, VPN and Teleworking solutions, chief architect of Cisco IT extended enterprise networks, chief architect of Cisco IT borderless networks, chief architect of Cisco IT IoT, and chief architect of Cisco IT AI in Operations. During the early stages of his career, Dr. Nedeltchev gained valuable experience as a Distinguished Engineer for STS International and a member of technical staff for Sprint Paranet, and as a senior technical consulting engineer for Cisco Systems since 1999.

Well-regarded as an expert in his field, Dr. Nedeltchev attained a Master of Science in computer science from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University in 1980 Summa Cum Laude, and a Doctor of Philosophy in computer systems networking and telecommunications in 1989. He has achieved multiple patents (in the United States and overseas) and has been featured in more than 60 publications in the US and abroad. He is a Cisco distinguished speaker and mentor for the next generation talent of Cisco. His motto is “Technology for a better world.”

With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Nedeltchev has written the Cisco Press book “Troubleshooting Remote Access Networks” dedicated to his wife Tatiana. In consideration of his professional accomplishments, he has been recognized numerous times, earning the Pioneer Award of Core Technology, two times – in 2003 and 2011. To wit, he earned the Distinguished IT Engineer-Lead of 10th Annual IT World Management Team of the Year Internet of Things (IoT) Gold Award, Distinguished Engineer of the year for Cisco IT, the Above and Beyond Award on three separate occasions, and the IT Champion Award for Cisco Technology Seminars and Value On Investment, Business Partnerships, Innovation and Teamwork. Dr. Nedeltchev is very proud father with his two kids – Nickolay Nedelchev and Irina Parvanov. Looking toward the future, Dr. Nedeltchev is looking for new challenges, work on new opportunities, technologies and publications and serve as a lecturer, speaker and mentor for those seeking to follow his example.
