Lawrence Nazzareth Secchiaroli, Retired Mechanical Design Engineer at United Technical Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mechanical design engineering.
Now retired after nearly 40 years of professional excellence, Mr. Secchiaroli flourished with the Sikorsky Aircraft division of the United Technical Corporation in a number of positions between 1980 and 2014. His roles included propulsion design engineer, production-engineering representative, design engineer leader and manager, propulsion representative and design engineer. He previously began his career as a junior engineer with Propulsion Engineering from 1978 to 1979. Attributing his success to his impressive tenure with the United Technical Corporation, he has proudly obtained two patents within his field. Also dedicating his spare time to his family, Mr. Secchiaroli has been additionally active as a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Inspired by the Space Race during his formative years, Mr. Secchiaroli initially pursued an education at Norwalk State Technical College, earning an Associate in Engineering in 1976. He subsequently concluded his studies at the University of Bridgeport, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1978 before graduating with a Master’s degree in engineering in 1982. Noted as the first in his family to graduate from college, he cites his extraordinary work on engine propulsion, fire extinguishing containment, engine firewalls and redesigning, which helped reduce weight and unnecessary danger on aircrafts such as Black Hawk helicopters, as highlights of his career. Mentored by John Casa and Jeffrey Pino, Mr. Secchiaroli hopes to continue enjoying his retirement and caring for his loved ones in the years to come.
