Backed by a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis from 1982, Mr. Hebert has become a renowned product development engineer within the field of aerospace engineering. Originally interested in the construction of bridges, he eventually came to realize how aircrafts were built in a similar fashion. He commenced his career as a structural design manager for Boeing in Kansas and Washington between 1982 and 1997. Mr. Hebert then joined the 3M Company, a Fortune 500 company that specializes in creating technology and products that advance companies and individuals alike. Notably, he has excelled as a senior specialist engineer and product development engineer with the company for more than 20 years.

To remain abreast of his industry, Mr. Hebert maintains affiliation with the Society of Automotive Engineers and the European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment. Civically, he is involved with the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Hebert attributes his vast success to his passion for his industry. He loves working with professionals around the world, all of whom are also very passionate about their work, making the work environment fun. Likewise, he also owes credit to his various mentors, including Robert Spitzer, Julie-Ellen Acosta and Dr. David Ylitalo. In five years’ time, he hopes to continue to work with new technology while also expanding his global connections through committees, colleagues and further globalization of his skill set. Mr. Hebert’s advice to aspiring engineers is to be optimistic about improvement efforts but also be skeptical of change that has no clear path to an improved future state.
