Since 2020, he has excelled as an application support engineer II for the Bank of the West in the San Francisco Bay Area, in which his responsibilities include up keeping business loans, handling tickets, moving workflow, updating user and customer information and other back end duties, such as certificates for credit bureaus. He had previously worked for the company as a business system administrator from 2017 to 2020 and an application administrator from 2008 to 2017. Mr. Urbshot earned a Bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from the University of Phoenix in 2007.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Urbshot gained experience as a sales associate with United Rentals from 2001 to 2007 and as a time deposit maintenance clerk for the Bank of Hawaii from 1990 to 1999. Notably, he served in the U.S. Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1988 and 1989. Mr. Urbshot is one that is always willing to learn, noting that he is always working to better educate himself and his team through on-the-job training, watching instructional videos or just getting a knowledge transfer from peers. In an effort to best improve the practices at Bank of the West, he is working on building a class for error alerts, as well as other technical development strategies. Mr. Urbshot attributes his career success to self-growth, a desire to learn and innovate.
