At the start of his professional career, Mr. Jessup got involved in flight testing and quickly discovered his passion for the industry, leading him to pursue careers as a pilot and engineer. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical engineering from Brown University in 1968, he later achieved a Master of Science in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology in 1976. Notably, Mr. Jessup served the U.S. Air Force as an operational test director from 1968 to 1990, as well as a B 52 pilot.
Today, Mr. Jessup excels as an aerospace engineering executive with Zenetex LLC and as a group manager for Delex Systems, Inc., roles he commenced in 1991. Specializing in weapon system survivability, he manages a group of engineers and program analysts supporting the U.S. Navy. Mr. Jessup recalls his most notable achievement in his field was developing the gun sight utilized by the majority in the U.S. armed forces today, which he brought to fruition during his own active service. With this sentiment, he attributes his success to receiving an excellent education and to his willingness to take on new challenges. To remain abreast of his industry, he maintains affiliation with the Air Force Association, Daedalian Society and Military Officer’s Association of America, as well as the American Cancer Society at the civic level.
