Title: Retired Owner, Technical Engineer
Company: Alne Sewing Machines
Location: Union, New Jersey, United States and Portugal
Alex Neves, Retired Owner and Technical Engineer at Alne Sewing Machines, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in technical engineering.
Mr. Neves chose his profession because of his interest in sewing machine manufacturing. Then in 1974, he came to the United States on a visa. It allowed him to get some experience in America. The following year he became legal and then he received his citizenship five years later. He is currently retired and enjoys helping others. He began his career as a co-owner of a driving school. He then became an owner of the restaurant and a used car dealership. From there, he became the owner of a sewing machine factory. This led to him becoming a technical engineer and owner of Alne Sewing Machines, Inc., where he remained for 40 years.
Mr. Neves’s most notable achievement would be helping people who worked for him at the factories. Being able to help others is his greatest achievement. As a testament to his success, he received Gold Medals from the Republican Party in 2001, 2002 and 2004, was named Business Man of the Year by The Republican Party in 2003, and received recognition from former President George W. Bush and from former vice president Richard “Dick” Cheney.
