Ralph R. Sacrison, Owner at Sacrison Engineering, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in geological engineering.
Though he initially sought a career in biological science, Mr. Sacrison ultimately chose to pursue the profession of engineering. Having lived in mining camps throughout the western hemisphere, he drew greatly from the influence of his father, who was a miner, and found himself greatly interested by the natural world. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in geology from Colgate University in 1976, as well as a Master of Science in mining engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 1980. After spending one year as a junior mining engineer with the Kaiser Steel Corporation, Mr. Sacrison served as a geological engineer for the Climax Molybdenum Company from 1980 to 1986 and as a senior engineer and construction engineer for the Barrick Gold Corporation between 1986 and 2003.
Presently, Mr. Sacrison excels as the owner of Sacrison Engineering, which he established in 2004. In addition to his primary role, he is a board member of the Northeastern Nevada Autism Network and a member of the Elko County Natural Resources Management Advisory Commission, of which he formerly served as chairman from 2012 until 2013. He also holds membership with the Marine Family Network, the Global Warming Petition Project and the Nevada Mining Association, and is a former member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sacrison hopes to continue excelling in his current field. In accounting for his standout success, he credits his commitment to passion and hard work.
