Meghan Zehringer, corporate environmental engineer for the National Gypsum Co. has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in project management and marine engineering.
Though raised in landlocked Colorado, Ms. Zehringer discovered her passion for the ocean at a young age and enlisted in the United States Coast Guard Academy after graduating high school. She began her Coast Guard service in 2011 as a navigation officer and training officer, advancing to a Domestic Vessel Branch Chief in 2013 and Chief of the Marine Inspections Division in 2016. Ms. Zehringer retired from the military decorated with the United States Coast Guard Commendation Medal and the United States Coast Guard Achievement Medal in recognition of her service.
Ms. Zehringer began her career with National Gypsum Co. as a project engineer in 2018. In her current role as a corporate environmental engineer, she is responsible for managing the state and federal compliance programs for each facility in the company network. She has been recognized as a STEP Ahead Emerging Leader by the National Association of Manufacturers and is an active volunteer for the Manufacturing Institute. Looking toward the future, she aims to continue serving as an advocate for and a contributor to environmental advancements and hopes to establish a nonprofit foundation to support children who enjoy thinking outside of the box.
