Devendra Negi, Technical Architect at AT&T, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in industrial engineering.
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institutes of Technology in 1974, Dr. Negi served as an engineer trainee and engineer from 1975 to 1979 with Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. in Hardwar, India. He then immigrated to the United States and continued his education with a Master of Science in 1981 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 1989 in industrial engineering from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, where he served as a graduate research assistant from 1986 to 1989.
Dr. Negi provided superior service as a systems analyst with Patso Co. Inc. in Houston, from 1981 to 1982, an industrial engineer with Millar Instruments Inc. from 1982 to 1984, a visiting assistant professor with Ohio University in Athens from 1989 to 1990 and an operations research analyst with Phillips Petroleum Co. in Bartlesville, Oklahoma from 1990 to 1997. From 1997 to 2018, Dr. Negi excelled with AT&T in Middletown and Florham Park, as a district manager, group manager, associate director and senior technical architect.
During his tenure at AT&T, Dr. Negi was honored with a 2nd Quarter 2007 Platinum Award for providing excellent support to the Big Five Initiative by AT&T Worldwide Business Sales Operations, an AT&T Certificate of Excellence for the Member ABN LD Pricing Tool and Web Interface Team eCRM Sales Enablement Program, placement in AT&T ABS Gold Club, a Circle of Excellence Award for Team Effort in Pricing Project, an AT&T BMD Service Delivery Systems Excellence in Business Innovation, ACFRS Repricing Team Award and AT&T BMD Service Delivery Systems Excellence in Business Innovation Award. In 2021, Marquis Who’s Who honored him with an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr. Negi’s educational background and on-the-job training are significant aspects that have led to his success. Throughout his career, he has learned the importance of hard work and maintaining good personal relationships. Mr. Negi is currently enjoying a well-deserved retirement.
