Walter Yeager, Engineering Consultant at Yeager Engineering Services, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in aeronautics.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University in 1958, Mr. Yeager excelled as a member of the technical staff with Hughes Aircraft from 1964 to 1968, where he developed propulsion components for Surveyor Spacecraft that landed on the moon and H2O2 and hydrazine small rockets for ATS synchronous orbit satellites. He then excelled as a program manager with Honeywell/Allied Signal from 1968 to 1999, where he managed the design, development, and production of over 25 turbomachinery programs. Mr. Yeager founded Yeager Engineering Service in 1999, where he provides superior service performing failure analysis and litigation support for insurance and legal firms.
Mr. Yeager holds a certificate in propulsion and power conversion from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a registered professional engineer, mechanical field and safety engineering field in Indiana and California. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Society of Professional Engineers.
Mr. Yeager attributes his success to his commitment to designing his equipment to do the job it was supposed to do and contributing to the safety of pilots. He considers his career highlight to be his programs which were concentrated on the emergency power systems of 12 different aircraft with the F-16 Fighters the primary ones.
