Sean Trotter, Vice President of Engineering at Saulsbury Industries, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction and engineering administration.
Since 2010, Mr. Trotter has provided superior service with Saulsbury Industries, a premier full-service engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company headquartered in Odessa, as senior process engineer and subsequently manager, director and vide president of engineering and major projects.
Currently, Mr. Trotter is responsible for oversight of the daily project management and operations, project estimating and proposal development, budgeting, staffing and development of Saulsbury’s engineering practice. He is widely regarded as a technical expert and frequently provides guidance and direction for midstream gas processing plant designs both internally to Saulsbury and externally to clients. Earlier, he had obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering in 2010 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Mr. Trotter’s professional memberships include the Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming and National Boards of Professional Engineers and he has captured Odessa Under 40 and Young Engineer of the Year Awards. In addition, as an advisor for the Texas Tech chemical engineering department, he has supervised mentorship programs for university students, mostly for career guidance and what to expect upon graduation and how to set yourself up to be successful in the industry. Saulsbury Industries is associated with the United Way and does charity work in which it volunteers employees and are sponsored by the company.
Mr. Trotter attributes his success to the people he has worked with. He had a very experienced mentor that took him under his wing as soon as he started he learned as much as he could from him during his first three years with Saulsbury. He is most proud of is the number of projects in general that he has been involved in that number over 50 different large capital projects in every form, from being a lead engineer to a support engineer and in his current position as vice president of engineering. In the coming years, Mr. Trotter intends to continue to advance with the organization as opportunities arise, continue doing what he does and try to broaden the relationships and trusts outside his own group to set himself up to be able to take on an executive leadership position.
