Ali Sareini, Director of Operations at ALM Positioners, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in materials handling distribution.
Since 2020, Mr. Sareini has excelled as project manager, engineering/quality manager and director of operations with ALM Positioners, a premier distributor of materials handling equipment based in Bettendorf, Iowa. In this capacity he is responsible for supplier relationships for welding and Fabrication suppliers, including lasers, welding, robotics, welding equipment, press brakes and more. His specialties include working with suppliers on cost reduction ideas, in teams or alone for a given project. Mr. Sareini has gathered experience leading the design of interior plastic and acoustical components such as trim, package trays, carpet, and instrument panel and console, as well as quality control, quality systems and manufacturing and supplier quality issues.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 2003 from Iowa State University in Ames, Mr. Sareini continued his education with Masters of Engineering and Business Administration in 2011 from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. He found much success as a product design and development engineer with Collins & Aikman from 2003 to 2005, Carcoustics from 2005 to 2006, HP Pelzer from 2006 to 2007 and Ford Motor Company from 2007 to 2008. With heavy equipment manufacturer John Deere, Mr. Sareini prospered as a quality engineer from 2009 to 2011, supply management engineer from 2011 to 2014 and global supply base manager from 2014 to 2020.
Mr. Sareini attributes his success to learning how to communicate with people and having the ability to talk to CEO and talk to a welder the same way. He also attributes his success to staying humble which has helped him grow a lot, as well as the love and support of his late sister Nowal. His goal in the coming years is to be a partner in a company, whether it be his current company or another company.
