With more than 30 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Raye has excelled in information and communication technology infrastructure planning, design, installations and project management for the Government of the District of Columbia since 2002. Prior to his current responsibilities, he worked as a lead OSP technician for OSP Consultants in Sterling, Virginia from 2001 to 2002 and an ISP/OSP splicing construction manager for JJB Network Technologies in Baltimore, Maryland from 1999 to 2001. He previously served in the U.S. Air Force between 1989 and 1998, during which time he was appointed by Baker Support Services as the lead ISP/OSP technician from 1998 to 1999, an OSP construction manager from 1997 to 1998, an ISP/OSP telecommunications specialist from 1996 to 1997 and an ISP/OSP telecommunications and broadband infrastructure construction specialist from 1991 to 1996. Mr. Raye has been additionally active as a volunteer member of the United States Armed Forces Association since 2015, a volunteer member of the American Legion since 2007 and a member of the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO).
Mr. Raye attributes his success to his tenacity, honesty, integrity and his attitude which drives him to never give up, as his work affects the safety and transportation of others. Among his many professional achievements, he is particularly proud of contributing to a project that migrated an essential data center from Washington, D.C. to Northern Virginia which helps prevent service from being lost during emergency situations, such as a bomb threat or natural disaster. Looking toward the future, Mr. Raye hopes to enter the field of consulting and pursue more gratifying projects in his areas of expertise.
