Since 2016, Mr. Doliente has been a plans examiner with SAFEbuilt Inc., before which he was a civil engineer with the EsGil Corporation for 35 years. The EsGil Corporation was acquired SAFEbuilt Inc. Mr. Doliente was previously a civil engineer in California and the Philippines, and served as a shield engineer for the ROR Corporation in Alhambra, California, from 1983 to 1985. He further worked for the County of San Diego as a junior civil engineer and assistant structural engineer.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Doliente studied at the Technological Institute of the Philippines, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He later completed master’s degree coursework at San Diego State University and became a registered civil engineer. Mr. Doliente excelled in his education, remaining at the top of his class from elementary school through college. He was named Most Viable Student by the Technological Institute of the Philippines.

In addition to his primary endeavors, Mr. Doliente was a state deputy with the Knights of Columbus in California from 2014 to 2015. He became involved in his profession due to his desire to make a difference in society. Growing up, his family was one of the poorest families in the neighborhood, and poverty motivated him to persevere because he wanted to prove to others that he could be successful despite his impoverishment. Mr. Doliente studied while working for the Weather Bureau in the Philippines and became the first in his family to graduate from college.

Among his career highlights, Mr. Doliente is proudest of being appointed as the state deputy for California with the Knights of Columbus, a position he worked toward for six years. In the coming years, he hopes to continue working to provide for his sisters, as he ended his retirement to help them. Mr. Doliente works to provide his siblings with a better life.
