David Mason Campbell, PE, President at Geiger Engineers, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in design, construction, business, and project management.
Since 2012, Mr. Campbell has served as the president of Geiger Engineers. Alongside this position, he has been the director of the Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. since 2002. In preparation for these posts, he attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, cum laude, in 1979.
Mr. Campbell’s areas of expertise include long span roof structures for sports facilities and unique specialty structures such as cable structures, tension membrane structures, retractable structures, and movable structures. In his current roles at Geiger Engineers and Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., he is responsible for business and project management, strategic development, design, and construction.
Mr. Campbell attributes his success to his passion for his job. He finds his professional pursuits intensely interesting, intriguing, and challenging. Among his achievements, he is proud of working on the canopy for the World Cup Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. He additionally cites his work on the roof for the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, which was completed in 2011. The latter project is a long-standing cable and retractable membrane roof.
To keep abreast of developments in his field, Mr. Campbell is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures, and the Entertainment Services and Technology Association, among other professional organizations. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, skiing, and sailing. In the coming years, Mr. Campbell hopes to continue finding success in his current endeavors and working on projects that captivate and challenge him.
