With five decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Farach has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of structural engineering. Specializing in many areas of structural engineering, he has joined BSI Engineering LLC as a senior structural engineer since the summer of 2021. Mr. Farach is proud to be part of this incredibly special firm voted since 2020 among “Top Workplaces.” BSI Engineering offers a wide range of engineering services to many industries – some of these are the aviation industry, the food and beverage industry, the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, the chemical production industry, and many more.

For ten years, Mr. Farach served as the owner and principal of The Farach Group, in Longwood, Florida. Among his many duties were management of structural projects, administrative tasks, and business development. Concurrently, Mr. Farach also served in the honorable position of Major of the Historical City of Longwood, Florida.

Mr. Farach joined the staff at Morrison Institute of Technology, in Morrison, IL as an Instructor for two years. Where he taught various engineering courses and to aid the students in understanding the material, he wrote five books which he donated to the school for future teachings in the subject. Mr. Farach, throughout the many years of practice, has worked for many engineering organizations that took him to virtually every corner of this country. His bilingual abilities, English and Spanish, have taken him overseas managing and performing designs for many clients, some of which are Caterpillar and John Deere to name a few.

Before beginning his professional career, Mr. Farach pursued a formal education. In 1976, he earned a Bachelor of science in civil engineering at the University of Florida. Subsequently, he has continued his education for many more years, keeping up to date with the advances in technology, computer programming, and other areas important to ensure that structural designs stay current, and the latest codes are followed.

As part of his accomplishments, Mr. Farach holds two technology patents; he has published several articles and papers about his field, including “Light-Gauge Engineering in Today’s Marketplace – The Challenges” in 1994. To commemorate his achievements, he was honored by the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects Award in 1986, which he received for his work in designing the downtown Orlando bus terminal – an award-winning project published in the AISC Journal and many international publications.

Mr. Farach was originally inspired to pursue a career in engineering by his father, who served as a constant source of support and encouragement. In the coming years, Mr. Farach hopes to fully retire from professional work and focus on spending more time with his wife, Dorothy, and pursuing his other two passion: the culinary arts and oil painting.
