Andrew Moore, Civil Engineer at the Illinois Department of Transportation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in civil engineering.
With 15 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Moore has excelled as a civil engineer with the Illinois Department of Transportation since 2017, having been active within the department since 2016. In this position, he is responsible for traffic investigation studies and conducts site visits on a biweekly basis. Mr. Moore previously worked as an engineering technician for a number of local factories.
Mr. Moore has also helped develop custom rockets, conducted preliminary designs for flexible launch vehicles and engineered software for commercial airplane flights as a team manager throughout his career. Prior to these appointments, he served as a tutor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University between 2008 and 2010. Mr. Moore began his career as an intern with Priester Aviation in 2008.
To support his professional endeavors, Mr. Moore pursued an education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, from which he obtained a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering in 2013. He initially completed a year of undergraduate coursework at Trine University between 2007 and 2008. Having harbored a lifelong passion for mathematics and space, Mr. Moore has been greatly inspired by his grandfather, who had been an aviator for the Federal Aviation Administration.
Notably, Mr. Moore was an acclaimed athlete during his high school enrollment, having been recognized as the Most Valuable Player in Tennis. He was likewise presented with a Sportsmanship Award from Huntley High School. In the coming years, Mr. Moore hopes to earn a master’s degree in engineering to further his ambitions within his field.
