Bobby Youngblood II, Director of Engineering at PCL Industrial Construction, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in project operations and construction.
With more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr. Youngblood has excelled as the director of engineering at PCL Industrial Construction since 2017. In this capacity, he deploys engineers and coordinators to construction projects, develops estimates, works with superintendents and project managers, and works with design companies. Mr. Youngblood holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Design-Build Professional Certification.
Prior to his current post, Mr. Youngblood was a project engineer and project coordinator with PCL Industrial Construction. He further served the company as a cost engineer and a field engineer. Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Youngblood is proud to have been selected to attend the PCL Peter Greene Leadership Course in 2018.
In 2015, Mr. Youngblood was recognized with a Robert Stollery Construction Leadership Award in 2015, a feat he considers the highlight of his career. He attributes his success to his parents, who laid the foundations for his accomplishments and taught him proper morals and values. He joined PCL Industrial Construction fresh out of college and has worked his way to his current position. Mr. Youngblood received a Top 20 Under 40 Award for his professional excellence.
To keep abreast of developments in his field, Mr. Youngblood has maintained affiliation with numerous professional organizations related to his area of expertise. He is a member of the Construction Industry Institute, the University of Houston Industrial Advisory Board, the Kappa Alpha Psi Alumni Chapter and the National Society of Black Engineers, among others. In his spare time, Mr. Youngblood enjoys coaching his son’s basketball team. In the coming years, he hopes to continue moving up in PCL Industrial Construction and spend more time being active in his community.
