Frederick C. Weist, MS, Subject Matter Expert at the Boeing Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in electrical engineering.

Upon earning a Bachelor of Arts in physics from Drexel University in 1983, Mr. Weist commenced his engineering career as an electronics engineer in the Aircraft Division at the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center, where he remained for eight years. During this time, he notably received Letters of Commendation from the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center and U.S. Naval Air Systems Command to U.S. NAWCAD, as well as a Sustained Superior Performance Award in 1986. In the early 1990s, Mr. Weist returned to his alma mater and attained a Master of Science in physics in 1992, further serving as a research assistant at the university until joining Aydin Corp. as a senior engineer in the Telemetry Division. Excelling in this post, he was the recipient of two Performance Awards in 1996 and 1997.

Near the turn of the century, Mr. Weist served in various electrical engineering capacities for the Hybrid Design Center part of Ericsson Inc. and the Olektron Division of Signal Technology, who awarded him two Performance Awards in 2005 and 2009. He also went on to serve Raytheon Co. Integrated Defense Systems, the Signal Solutions Division of DRS Technologies and the Herley CTI Division of Kratos Inc., where he was presented with a Letter of Commendation, through 2013. For one year, he served as a consulting engineer with Planar Monolithics Industries before joining the Boeing Company as a level 5 engineer/SME. Mr. Weist served in this position until his retirement in 2020, taking with him two Pride Boeing Awards from 2016 and 2017. To remain abreast of his industry, he maintains membership with the American Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
