In preparation for his career, Mr. Wingard attended the University of Pittsburgh and earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1981. In 1992, he graduated from Binghamton University with a Master of Business Administration in manufacturing and marketing. For his accomplishments with Amphenol Global Interconnect Solutions, he earned an Outstanding Engineering and Commercial Achievement Award in 2006.
Alongside his primary positions, Mr. Wingard has been actively involved in his community. He is a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society. Mr. Wingard is also a member of the Railroaders Memorial Museum and Penn Central Railroad Historical Society.
To keep abreast of his career, Mr. Wingard has maintained membership with multiple organizations related to his areas of expertise. He is a member of the Open Compute Project and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In his spare time, he enjoys model trains, railroad history, and model tanks from World War II. Mr. Wingard has been married to his wife, Esperanza, for 34 years, and has a daughter, Christina.
