Linda M.S. Thomas, Retired Technical Fellow and Senior Principal Engineer with The Boeing Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in aerospace engineering.

From 2018 until her retirement in 2020, Ms. Thomas served The Boeing Company as a technical fellow and senior principal engineer. She was an associate technical fellow, chemical risk assessment leader and system safety engineer with the company from 2012 to 2018. Ms. Thomas previously served The Boeing Company as a system safety assistant engineer and worked with the Boeing Defense, Space & Security division. From 2009 to 2016, she worked as a part-time instructor at South Seattle College.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Thomas attended Howard University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1981. In 2005, she earned a Master of Science in systems of engineering and architecture from the University of Southern California. For her professional accomplishments, she has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. She received a Replication Award, a Distinguished Service Award from the Society of Women Engineers in 2018 and a Celestial Torch Award for Outstanding Woman in Aerospace from the National Society of Black Engineers in 2016. In 2014, Ms. Thomas was named a Modern-Day Technology Leader and Black Engineer of the Year, and in 2013, she was named a fellow of the Society of Women Engineers. In her spare time, she enjoys playing clarinet.
