James R. Geisbush, Senior Civil Reliability Engineer with Central Arizona Project, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in water pipelines.
Since 2017, Mr. Geisbush has excelled as a senior civil reliability engineer with the Central Arizona Project. The company provides water to more than five million residents in Arizona, comprising approximately 80% of the state’s population. Mr. Geisbush’s role is to maintain the pipelines and associated tunnels that make this service possible. Before this position, he was a senior civil engineer with Central Arizona Project from 2009 to 2017 and a project manager from 2006 to 2009. He began his career as a project manager and engineer for HDR Engineering Inc. from 2002 to 2006.
To prepare for his career in civil engineering, Mr. Geisbush obtained a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Washington State University in 1990. In 1994, he graduated from the University of Arizona with a Master of Science in civil engineering. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in civil engineering at Arizona State University. Alongside his formal degrees, Mr. Geisbush was a certified professional civil engineer in New Mexico and California. He is a certified professional civil engineer in Arizona since 1997 and is a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute. Prior to his current endeavors, he served in the U.S. Navy.
For his professional excellence, Mr. Geisbush received the Excellence in Pipelines Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2022. He is also a fellow of the organization. To keep abreast of his field, he maintains affiliation with Tau Beta Pi and the American Society of Civil Engineers. In his spare time, Mr. Geisbush enjoys martial arts and wood turning.
