Title: Senior Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer
Company: ASML
Location: Escondido, California, United States
Pablo Adamoglu de Oliveira, PhD, Senior Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer at ASML, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mechanical engineering.
With more than 15 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Adamoglu de Oliveira has excelled as a senior heat and mass transfer engineer with ASML since 2023, working with computational fluid dynamics applied to technology development. Before these positions, he worked for ASML as a simulation expert, heat and mass transfer engineer from 2019 to 2023, and competence leader in microfluidics from 2021 to 2022.
Between 2006 and 2016, Dr. Adamoglu de Oliveira served as a research engineer and a thermal and flow expert with the EMBRAPII Unit with POLO Research Laboratories for Emerging Technologies in Cooling and Thermophysics. He also provided his wealth of expertise to Usiminas as a freelance external consultant from 2010 to 2011. He began his career as an engineering intern with Coteminas S.A. in 2005. Dr. Adamoglu de Oliveira has found success with his written works as well, having published his research in such industry journals as the International Journal of Refrigeration in 2012, Heat Transfer Engineering in 2012 and 2015, the Proceedings of the 16th International Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference at Purdue/Purdue University in 2016, and the Proceedings of the 15th ITHERM Conference/IEEE in 2016.
Before starting his professional path, Dr. Adamoglu de Oliveira pursued an education at Universidade Federal da Paraíba, earning a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 2005. He continued his academic efforts with a Master of Science in mechanical engineering focusing on thermal and flow sciences at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2008. Dr. Adamoglu de Oliveira concluded his studies at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2016, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering with a focus on thermal management of electronic devices, which he cites as one of the highlights of his career.
Attributing his success to his consistency and persistence, Dr. Adamoglu de Oliveira was presented with the CAPES National Award for Best Ph.D. Thesis in Mechanical Engineering from the Brazilian Ministry of Education in 2017. Notably, he proudly developed simulation models by utilizing computational resources for the calculations that provide design guidance for product development with ASML Netherlands. He is additionally grateful to have received the opportunity to refine his skills as a research engineer at a well-known laboratory primarily dealing in thermal and fluid sciences at a university in Brazil. Looking toward the future, Dr. Adamoglu de Oliveira aims to advance to an administrative position or become a principal engineer as to best help to lead ASML.
