He is the co-author of the 2022 Journal of Clinical Medicine study “Predicting Adult Hospital Admission from Emergency Department Using Machine Learning: An Inclusive Gradient Boosting Model,” released by MDPI, publisher of open-access scientific journals. Attributing his success to being self-motivated, Mr. Tamegue says he has always had a passion for computers and is proud that he now uses technology to enhance people’s lives and organizations’ processes.
Since joining The Mount Sinai Hospital in 2020, Mr. Tamegue helped to build a powerful real-time streaming clinical data science platform that brings the power of ML and AI into the hospital, improving early recognition and diagnosis of clinical conditions, provider awareness, timely awareness and hospital operation enhancement. By gaining new insights via AI, the hospital’s computers will be able to independently convert data from patients and clinicians into knowledge in order to guide decisions and actions autonomously.
Prior to his current roles and after immigrating to the United States in 2010 from the Republic of Cameroon in Central Africa, Mr. Tamegue, who is fluent in French, Spanish, and English, was the lead Linux engineer and Devops engineer at Smartek, the lead software automation tester and QA at West Tech Inc, and a PLP-lead engineer platform at RDI Inc. In preparation for his career, he earned a Bachelor of Science in computer and information systems from Medgar Evers College, an engineering degree with honors in information systems security from DeVry University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from the University of Cameroon.
Parallel to his work in the healthcare system, Mr. Tamegue is the founder and managing director of JT Holding Group LLC, for which he was named to Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners & Entrepreneurs. His primary duties and vast accomplishments include Green Energy DC Appliances that can help reduce your energy costs and contribute to a more sustainable future. Developing strategic plans, facilitating digital transformations, establishing partnerships, negotiating deals, and organizing trade mission trips between Africa and the United States. He is also an intern with CFA which Linking U.S. and Africa Through Policy. With CFA, he arranges opportunities for African Diaspora leaders to meet with African Embassies such as Tanzania, Mozambique, Guyana, and Mali Embassies and Howard University to name a few.
Moreover, Mr. Tamegue is an associate with Scalar Tech, which is a technology platform that offers energy and carbon management solutions to businesses seeking to reduce their environmental impact and increase their energy efficiency. Their platform leverages innovative ML&AI technologies to help clients optimize their energy usage and reduce their carbon emissions through the smart grid.
