James T. McCarter, PE, Executive Vice President of H2L Consulting Engineers, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mechanical engineering.
Since 1994, Mr. McCarter has found success as the executive vice president of H2L Consulting Engineers. For his professional excellence, he has been recognized with a Distinguished Service Award from the National Council of Engineering Examiners and an award from the national director for the National Society of Professional Engineers. In addition to his formal roles, he has served as a deacon at his local church. He is a member of the South Carolina Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and an emeritus member and former vice president of the National Council of Engineering Examiners.
Before his current position, Mr. McCarter served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 as a first lieutenant, later rising to the rank of captain in the Army Reserve. To keep abreast of his field, he maintains affiliation with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. Mr. McCarter plans to continue working for as long as he can, and in his spare time, he enjoys watching sports.
