Ololade Monsur Balogun, president of MEDOOSHA, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of mechanical engineering.
With over a decade of experience to his credit in his chosen field, Mr. Balogun has found success through his role as the president fo MEDOOSHA. Previously, he distinguished himself in various roles at the VPC Group Inc., where he served as a senior project engineer, and at Armacell Canada, for which he was a plant engineer. Throughout the early stages of his career, he worked in engineering and research at various institutions and organizations, including the University of Saskatchewan, Unilever, Fawaz Investment Limited and Intercontinental Bank PLC. Specializing in design, production and materials engineering, Mr. Balogun strives to bring each engineering project to a successful conclusion by proactively addressing challenges as they arise.
Before embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Balogun heeded the advice of his brother, who encouraged him to attend a technical school. After studying mechanical engineering at the Yaba College of Technology in Nigeria, he transferred to the University of Lagos, from which he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2007 and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on design and production, in 2010. Following this accomplishment, he immigrated to Canada and attended the University of Saskatchewan, receiving a Master of Engineering in materials engineering in 2017. Well-qualified in his field, Mr. Balogun holds certification as a project management professional and in project management via Ryerson University.
As a commitment to his field, Mr. Balogun maintains his affiliation with a number of relevant organizations, including the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan, Project Management Institute, the Professional Engineers of Ontario and the Nigerian Society of Engineers. In addition to his professional endeavors, he is also a member of Rotary International, and has volunteered extensively with his alumni group.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Balogun largely credits the love and support of his family and friends, as well as the comfort he draws from his religious faith. Looking toward the future, he aspires to self-actualize and continue expanding the scope of his career, opening an engineering, production and construction company, through which he can add professional value and serve as an employer to others. Likewise, Mr. Balogun hopes to establish a charitable organization and give back to society as a whole.
