Having garnered 30 years of experience in drafting and designing mechanical and rotary parts for auxiliary power units utilized in commercial and military aircraft, Mr. Ney has excelled as a senior mechanical design engineer with Intertec International since 2021. Prior to this position, he was active as a mechanical designer with GKN Aerospace in 2016, a design engineer with Honeywell International Inc. from 2017 to 2019, a mechanical design engineer with Northrop Grumman Corporation from 2019 to 2020 and a senior design engineer in Belcan, Arizona in 2021. He previously served as a senior CAD designer for Pratt & Whitney Aero Power between 1994 and 2015. Mr. Ney began his career as a drafter with United Technologies Aerospace Systems in San Diego, California from 1990 to 1994.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Ney pursued an education at the ITT Technical Institute, from which he earned an Associate of Arts in computer-aided drafting and design in 1982. He subsequently concluded his studies at Arizona State University in 1989, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in industrial technologies with a minor in industrial supervision. The first in his family to be involved in the field of information technology, he attributes his success to his stellar work ethic as well as his prompt and quality work. Among the many highlights of his career, he is proud of single-handedly dealing with the backlog of engineering changes to both drawings and models during his tenure at Pratt & Whitney Aero Power. Looking toward the future, Mr. Ney hopes to advance to a greater administrative role that enables him to check drawings and models at Intertec International.
